2026 Pont-Audemer Visit
We are looking forward to visiting our French hosts in Pont-Audemer from 8th to 12th May 2026. This will also coincide with the 40th anniversary of the twinning of our two towns.
Our French counterparts have arranged various events over the course of our stay, these include, but are not limited to:
9th: a civic reception with music, followed by a trip to a local cider farm in the afternoon
10th: a celebratory lunch at Le Discret restaurant in Pont-Audemer
11th: a visit to the local market in the morning, followed by a guided tour of Rouen
Visit to Pont-Audemer May 2024
In May 2024 sixteen members of the Ringwood Twinning Association travelled to Normandy to visit Ringwood’s twin town and spent four days in Pont Audemer. The majority stayed with our French hosts in their homes and were made very welcome. Our visit included a civic reception and a folk dancing evening. We also enjoyed trips to Monet’s garden at Giverney and to Honfleur. Some of the group also went on a guided tour of the old central part of the town.
